Изглежда вече няма да може да се поръчват семена от САЩ. Тия дни получих писмо от J.L. Hudson, Seedsman:
We have the 2020 seed catalog ready to mail, and the new 2020 website is
uploaded. We will not be mailing a catalog to you at this time because
of new regulations in the EU that may impact seeds entering your country.
Unfortunately we have heard that the EU has some new rules that came
into effect Dec 14, 2019. It may be that the EU will no longer allow
importation of any seeds at all unless they come with a Phytosanitary
Certificate. No one seems to be sure whether this is true. If this is
true we will no longer be able to send any seed into EU countries for
the foreseeable future. We cannot at this point supply phytosanitary
certificates.
Here are some links to the EU website, which discusses the new rule
about Phytos:
https://ec.europa.eu/food/plant/plant_health_biosecurity/legislation/new_eu_rules_enhttps://ec.europa.eu/food/sites/food/files/plant/docs/ph_biosec_rules_implementing-act-annex_en.pdfThese regulations are complicated and confusing, and as it stands, we
are not sure what the actual situation is. Small parcels of seeds are
still making it to UK addresses.
It is very unclear at this point exactly what the new regulation really
is, or which seeds it may cover. If you have any information, please let
us know! Other small seed vendors in the EU have not heard anything
about this. If this is true, we will not be able to send seeds to any EU
customers, though we will try to find a way to obtain Phytos at a
reasonable price. Last time we asked, the cost was US$60.00 or more per
Phyto.
We suggest that clients in the EU propose to the agricultural officals
that they create a system where seeds can be inspected on arrival, like
the "Small Lots of Seeds" permit that has been created by the US
Department of Agriculture. Under this system, seeds are delivered
directly to an inspection station, and they are examined by USDA
inspectors and then forwarded to the importer. This allows for up to 50
packets of up to 10 grams (or 50 seed if they are large seeds) per
shipment. There are still problems with this system, but it is better
than nothing. I would suggest that a system that allows up to ten kilos
of seeds per shipment would be better.
